In 2000 Brodén was a music teacher for a year.Īmong the bands that influenced him the most are Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Accept, UDO and Blind Guardian, among others. In addition to keyboard and piano, Brodén is also a master of rhythm guitar. After leaving Mÿhr in 2012, he took over this role again, the keyboard tracks are played live from the tape. Until 2005, when Daniel Mÿhr joined Sabaton, Brodén was also the group's studio keyboarder. Since the band's existence, Brodén has been involved in all of the band's pieces, mostly composing them on his own, if he is not writing the lyrics, Sundström wrote them. In 1999 Brodén and Sundström founded the band Aoen, together with Oskar Montelius, Rikard Sundén and Richard Larsson, who left them two years later. Because there were no metal samples back then, Brodén recorded his own samples with all kinds of objects. Brodén brought his own songs into the band and because they couldn't find a singer, he took on this role. In his late school days Brodén spent a lot of time jamming, his friend, who was a drummer at the time, brought him as a keyboardist to a four-piece band that was still playing black and death metal cover pieces at the time. When he was five or six years old, his mother gave him a Twisted Sister album after Brodén saw the band on television. Brodén was born in 1980 as the son of a Swede and a Czech woman and is therefore a citizen of both countries.
